Prior to relocate your pet into Qatar an Import
License needs to be issued by The Animal Health Department (Ministry
of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture).
Such a license is only valid for one month from date
of issue. It is important to know that the name of the person who
will collect your pet at the airport (consignee) is the name
that appears on the license. this can be yourself traveling with
your own pet or someone else acting on your behalf. We will be
more than happy to help you getting a special approval for your
banned breed dog.

In order to issue an Import License for your pet you
need the following documents:
If you provide us with copies of the
above documents and let us know the day and time of arrival, we can
arrange to issue the required license for your pet within a couple
of working days. In this case we need an
Authorization
Letter authorizing The Veterinary Surgery - Doha to help issuing
the required license.
We can also help clearing your pet on
arrival, and deliver it to your door step, for doing that we need
Authorization Letter
to do the clearing paper at the Cargo
Complex.
Relocation requirement
Your pet needs to be vaccinated
against Rabies within the last year but we would also strongly
recommend, for the safety of your pet, up to date vaccination
against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis (for
Dogs). Feline enteritis, Calici Virus, Feline flu and Feline
leukemia (for Cats).
A Health Certificate issued by a state
vet from exporting country, should be in English, and should not be
more than 7 days old when your pet arrives in Doha.
